Add your first client

Create the client record with address, dogs, gate codes, tech notes, and portal access.

Open the new client form
Go to Clients → New Client. This form creates both the client record and their client-portal login in one shot.
Enter contact info and a temp password
Fill in Name, Email, and a Temp password (minimum 8 characters) — all required. The email and temp password are the client's portal login; share them with the client and they can change the password once inside. Phone is optional but worth capturing for SMS notifications.
Add the service address
Enter the full street Address. Scooper geocodes it automatically to place the yard on your dispatch map and build efficient routes — the Latitude/Longitude fields say "auto-detected from address", so leave them blank unless geocoding gets a rural address wrong.
Choose client type and billing
Pick Client type — Residential or Commercial (commercial requires a Business name). Then pick Billing type: Per visit with a Per-visit rate ($), or Flat monthly with a Monthly rate ($). Per-visit clients are invoiced for completed visits; flat-monthly clients get one invoice on your auto-billing day.
Record dogs, gate codes, and tech notes
Enter the Dog count and any Gate code. Use Special instructions for techs for everything your tech needs at the gate: which side the yard is on, dog temperament, where to leave waste bags. These notes show on the tech's job card — write them for the person standing in the yard.
Save and invite them to the portal
Optionally set Preferred visit time and How did they hear about us? (this feeds your marketing reports), then click Create client. Send the client their email and temp password — in the portal they can see visit history and photos, pay invoices, and turn on auto-pay.
